I am a NOVICE to digital editing and DVD writing.
I have just completed my holiday video filmed by a Sony DCRTRV60 camera. I have captured and edited the footage using Pinnacle Studio 7.
I have saved it as an AVI file.
I have then started to use NeroVision Express 2. I have added the files and they exceed the "used space 4.40 Gb, 0.62 more than available. Is there a way round this without having to either split the film onto 2 discs or remove footage or anything else?
I am using a Dell computer, memory 256 Mb, two hard drives 40 and 120 Gb and Windows 5.1.

    Thank you

    Mick

You can try this. Have it save the project to the hard drive, creating the project at best quality. Tell Nero that you do not want quality adjusted to fit on a single dvd. Then run the project through dvdshrink to make it fit. Maybe not the BEST solution, but one that will suit your needs at the moment.

simply lower the bit rate by going into "more, video options,dvd-video tab" and changing the quality setting from automatic to custom and set the bit rate to whatever will make it fit.

I've tried that before, DVDJET, but I have better success using dvdshrink afterwards. Got crappy quality the other way
