Okay, I don't know about this file I have but if someone could just direct me a little then I might be able to salvage this.
Here is what I have:
I have burned a video file to a DVD but it just shows a blue wavy screen on all players. I used AVIcodec to make sure what the file was and this is what I get:
Filename E:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_02_1.VOB
Video codec name MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD)
Audio codec name
Video resolution 720*480
Video bitrate 9800 Kbps
Video framerate 29.970 fps
Video duration 0:00:00 (have others with time on them)
Video aspect ratio 16:9
Video size 1023 MB
ERROR MESSAGE LPCM audio streams not yet handled
More files in the VIDEO TS folder are similar. I'm thinking there are several problems with these files, including the resolution(what should it be for DVD?), the bitrate (shouldn't it be 48000?) and the framerate (this is PAL, right? and I need NTSC for here in the States). And lastly, how do I "handle" the LPCM streams.
I know these are a lot of questions so if maybe you could just address one or two then I could sort out the rest. I promise I have read, but the LPCM thing threw me off a bit, since I have not encountered this before.
If you reply, thank you SOOOOO much.

The video is standard NTSC DVD specifications.(See DVD specs upper left on this page) The 9800 bitrate is the maximum from the DVD standard, but should be OK. 29.97 is also standard for DVD.
The video length is a problem (No video?)
LPCM is not often used, but DVD compliant. Reason is it takes up considerable space, but with a 1 gig video file, should have worked. I have never seen that particular error message either. I generally use AC3 or MPEG1, layer 2 audio.
If you have the original files, you could see if the audio and the video will play. Or, quick method, run them through AVIcodec and see what it says.
My guess is the file was corrupted in the first place or the encoder settings were wrong.
