I use it to make sure the disc are much more resistant to water, just in case. if you get a single drop of water on one after printing it'll run like mad. just depends on who will be using the disc as to whether its worth it for you. I also think it gives a more proffesional look. the gloss makes it look like a store bought DVD. the Key is to mist a couple coats on from a distance. hold the can about 12-16 inches away and spray almost straight down with only a slight angle. keep the can moving too, don't ever let it linger in one place or it will build up heavy.
