I have WindowsXP and PowerVCR II 3.0 (latest version) and it will not record sound. I have tried capturing from the Hi8 and the TV with the Pinnacle PCTV Pro capture card and it will not work. I can capture audio with windows movie maker but not with PowerVCR! I've checked every setting and option. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have a Live! card. Has anyone gotten it to work? Thanks.

Did you try to input your audio directly to the line-in on your audio card, bypassing the video card?

That is what I have it going directly to, my sound card. My Live! card. I can record sound with Windows Movie Maker but not with PowerVCR with the same settings. I think it's a PowerVCR problem of some sort?

I am sure you have done this but make sure your recording source didn't change when you started powervcr, I had a problem with it once, under ME I think, where it would only accept my mic input, not my line-in. may want to check that.
