It's a pitty that someone hasn't written a decent guide to virtualdub filters. Theres some great stuff out there, but where is it and under what circumstances do you use it.

Actually. I found out it was the SmoothIQ filter that did the hogging. I didn't like this denoise filter at all. I went back to Convolution3d!
