  1. I have some wedding videos with no sound at all that I would like to enhance with CD music tracks, I can capture from the video camera to .avi using iuVCR or capture to MPEG-2 with Nero Vison Express or Power Producer 2 Gold.

Is there any way to add .wav files to .avi or MPEG-2 ... syncing is not important, just the ability to basically append a music CD to the video track to play during the play of the wedding video... I only need to control when the music starts and ends during video playback so that the music covers the whole video length.

Ideally I would like to add the audio to the MPEG-2 file I get when I capture with Power Producer 2, but if I can only do it with .avi I can deal with it...I will convert to MPEG-2 and then use TEMPGEnc DVD Author with AC-3 plug-in to make the final DVD.

Simple. Use any program that will take your cds to wav files. CDex is a good one. Then use the program srcc to convert the 44.1k audio to 48k. Then you can either use tmpgenc and import the wav files directly or you can compress the wav files to ac3 with tmpgenc if you do have the ac3 plugin.

  3. Thanks, CDex is a cool program.

I tried out various programs and found that Womble's MPEG Video Wizard does exactly what I want to accomplish... great and easy to use program.
