  1. Hi all.

I am attempting to have just an mpeg2 file, ultimately, off of a homemade home video put to dvd. I will later edit and reburn the file to a dvd with a better menu system, so I don't want to just rip and copy the dvd. The home video dvd is a dvd-r made from a stand alone dvd recorder. I will burn to a dvd+r on my home pc.

I have extracted the m2v files that I want using DVD Decryptor. I want to re multiplex the audio and video files with Tmpgenc plus.

There are two m2v files and one audio file. The second m2v file won't merge with the first, as I am told by tmpgenc plus that is it not an mpeg file, while I have no problem with the first file. I can preview each of the m2v files if I just load them in the main menu's video file section of tmpgenc plus. However, if I try to preview them while in the mpeg tools/merge and cut menu, only the first file is playable, and the second is not.

Is there, perhaps, some kind of wrong header information on the second file, or is there something I am missing?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

I think you should give AviSynth a try.
