What I want to know is if there is a program that allows me to capture a picture out of DVDs ?
I know WinDVD does it but the picture has a bad quality, I"d like to know a program that does it it with a great picture quality.

    Thanks

PowerDVD does a good job. Unfortunately, you may not get the best results when the captured pic is of a high motion scene (for any program). Also, is the video high quality (commercial/retail)?

  3. If only for screen capture ('one picture')

ACDSee v6 can do it beautifully.

That's what I'm saying. The quality is crap already (720x480). You expect to come out with an 11 megapixel image?

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

Software players like WinDVD do ALOT of post processing to the image. I prefer to decode my images with dvd2avi instead. Then I load it into virtualdub via avisynth and can export any frame I want as a bmp or set in and out points and capture each frame in the sequence as a bmp all at once. Its a very fast way to take alot of screen grabs.

Its basically the same decoding process that is used when you backup a DVD.
