    Hello

I'm using TmpGenc for long time, but since I did upgraded to WindowsXP, I got a messages trying to do split a VCD video in two parts, the message is "Read error ocurred againts address 73F91D04"

Someone know if there is any Bug reported with XP, I checked the tmpgenc home page for information but there is nothing about it.

    The Bug is resported.

Thank you in advanced for any comments.

    Hello Sr.

    Thank you for your response.

About the problem I had, definitely it's a Bug, bacause I was able to replicated it too many times, thanks to one person called "Josh K." who read my post, he told me to had the same problem under the same conditions and he did a little trick and works for Him, and also for me, here is his email:

Hey, saw your prob with TMPG. Check it out on the site
or i can paste it for you.

    Here ya go:

I had the same prob as you and it drove me crazy. The
converting process went fine but then, it gives you a
prob with cutting. What you have to do to cure this is
set an output file name right after you add the file.
Then, after you have set an output file name, double
click on the file and configure the cut. After all
that is done just hit run. Worked for me, if it
    doesn't email me.

So, I did the same and works, the only difference was, I still receiving the same error message, so I just hit Ok, on the error and then hit the run button and the proccess works perfectly.

  3. Sadly a "NO GO" here since W XP shuts the program after I press "ok" in the error msg and can't do anything else...I'll be downloading MyFlix since they say it's an alternate way of cutting large mpgs and work ok...cya's

Try vcd cutter, it wokrs great under windows xp, but the best thing to do is encode movie in parts using the source limit feature in tmpenc and as a batch job, then just encode and burn.
