Hi there,
I captured my stuff from VHS at 720x576 with a Pinnacle PCTV Pro. Now I want to convert it to a DVD compliant format. What are the best settings in TMPGenc? I'm thinking about CBR 5000 for video and CBR 128 for audio. Am I wasting media space? Thanks in advance,
Cirruz

don't use CBR it'll take far too much space. Use CQ or VBR. Audio should be at least 192. www.lordsmurf.com has a guide for setting up TMPGEnc for good quality vs. speed.

best way to check what bitrate you should use is with a bitrate calculator.
