Hmm, I'm also having the same problem with VD. I'm using VD to cut out "blips" in an .avi file but every time i view it, the audio is out of sync or the entire movie is REALLY slow and jerky (w/ audio out-of-sync) .. anybody have ideas to fix this? i've played around with the settings but the problem presists. R there any other proggies that can edit/cut .avi files? Thxs.

    CHEERS!

i got it to finally work. i used nandub to cut the movie and when i re-encoded it, it worked perfectly. no out-of-audio-sync problems or slow .avi playback. hope this helps.
