  1. I've been using TMPGEnc DVD Author for some time now without any problems. I was able to author a DVD with 2 movies but recently (in the last couple of days) when I hit the "begin output" button, it takes hours to complete where as before it would take about 1 hour maximum. Could some please help me this.

I'm not using the PC when the new compilation is being created and I haven't changed my hardware at all.

    The system specs are: XP1800+
    256meg RAM (I need more)
    40gig HD
    XP Pro SP1

Formatted the HD just in case the OS was corrupted, but that didn't help.

    Thanks

More than likely the audio is not dvd standard (48 Khz) and Tmpgenc Dvd Author is having to reencode the audio. Just make sure it's 48Khz before you try to author it and it shouldn't take hours, as Tmpgenc Dvd Author doesn't reencode the video just the audio if its not to dvd standard.

  3. Thanks for that.

But if I am using a ripped DVD file (eg The Score) wouldn't the audio already be DVD standard?
