  1. Hi all. I've got a DVD burning problem here.

I was burning an image onto DVD-R, using Alcohol120% (version 1.4.3 build 410). Alcohol told me the burn was successful, however when I tried to read the resulting DVD-R, the ROM said it cannot see any disc inside (no disc). I've tried with 2 ROMs, and also tried rebooted my computer, but it's still the same.

I then tried another time with the same image file, and again, it failed. For the third time I've used another image file, and the same thing still happened.

My DVD writer is Gigabyte DUAL GO-W0404A. I've burnt like 10 DVD-R of this brand successfully before, but just for today it failed me 3 of those.

Here is the log file I took down from Alcohol120%:

    Test Write: Yes
Are you sure that you didn't eject the disc after a test write and try to read a blank DVD-R in your player?

    i didn't...
and the player read no-disc inside... if it's a blank disc then it should be able to detect that it's blank...

  5. As far as players go Blank Disk = No Disk.
Have you tried mounting the image and trying to view from your hard drive to see if the image file is OK ?

Notice also you are using a UN-Rigistered copy or trial version are there any limits on the number of burns that can be made ?
    Not bothered by small problems...
