    Nero 6, ImgBurn, Windows Explorer--nothing sees my DVD+RW disc as even inserted. It used to work/was written on this computer. I can see the data file that's on there using a different computer. I tried resintalling the drive and software. Any other ideas? Thx...

    try a different DVD +R you might have the same thing goin on I had
    mine stoped reading DVD +R but would read other DVDs
    replaced drive and DVD +R disk were readable again

    sounds like you need to retire that DVD+RW disc or your precious BENQ 1640 drive is slowly dying out.
