k i want to put series 2 of the tv show charmed onto a dvd-r disk so i can watch them in my dvd player. most of the files are 500mb and are in mpeg format
any ideas wots best way to do this???
atm im usin tmgenc dvd author program i create new project/ add file/ it gives me a gop error message and i add the other mpegs then click the output button i have not burnt the resulting files onto a dvd-r disk as i dont want to waste 1

My suggestion would be to use tmpgenc dvd author, what error message is it giving you ?

when i add each mpeg i get the message the gop lengh is to long or something similar i then have 2 options to ignore it or to cancel it

Open the file in TMPGEnc using File>MPEG Tools>Merge & Cut. Then select Type = MPEG-2 Program (VBR) and save new file. (you can also use type = MPEG-1 Video CD....as I suspect your files are MPG1)
this should correct the GOP sequence and eliminate the error message -
An alternative is to just copy the files to DVD as data files. Some dvd players can play these directly. You can find out wich ones under dvdplayers> search on mpeg iso compliant
I use recordnow dx to do this.
