hiya... i am converting my ntsc format movie to pal... and hence i am having to shorten the wav file... can anyone recommend a free tool for doing this...
note i was told of a free tool, but it requires me to install java runtime environment... which i want to avoid, due to past hassles with running it...

hey... goldwave is onyl trialware so im assuming it would only be good for 30 days or something like that?
ive seen the audacity one in the tools section, but i read some negative reviews about it underneath... do other ppl find this tool okay? im only needing it to change ntsc to pal audio...
any other tools for this? -
it looks like the person with the negative comments was trying to record and surf the net at the same time... and if he only has one hard drive (which he doesn't bother to say) he's trying to write a continuous audio stream as well as read and write other data to the disc...
if you're doing conversion, and not live capture, you shouldn't have that problem - it's not capturing an analog stream from the input, it's moving bits in and out and running a digital conversion on them - if you interrupt the process, you don't miss anything, it just takes longer.- housepig
