Nero Showtime - What is Nero DVD-Video plug-in filename?

I own and have installed everything in the Nero 6 ULTRA package. Yet when I try to play certain video files using Nero ShowTime (which is by FAR the BEST video player I've ever seen!), I often get a message telling me I need to install Nero's DVD-Video plug-in.

Again, I have already installed the entire package, but it can't seem to find the DVD-Video plug-in for some reason. I tried searching through the install CD, but there's absolutely nothing I can find that obviously looks like it might be the plug-in file in question.

So: Does anyone know what the filename is? And where I should look for it on the install CD and then where I should put the file when I find it?

Then you've never tried PowerDVD (the newest version, at least, is the best player I've ever seen with all its audio/video enhancement options).

You may have to go to the nero site (www.nero.com) and look in their downloads or support (or plug-ins) section, I'm not sure. Try it and see.

You need a Valid Serial # for the update contact Nero Support.

Nero has been no help at all; there's been no useful response from them (other than re-purchase what I already own).

The information I am looking for -- the filename -- is nowhere to be found from Nero's sites. That's why I'm asking here.

Does anyone know the filename?

Hope this helps you out. It could be that dvd plug-in you're looking for is a separate charge from the full nero you purchased.

This is what it says on the Nero website:
DVD-Video Plug-in (MPEG-2 Encoder) included fee required
Please pay attention:
The DVD-Video Plug-in is already included in the Nero 6 retailpackage and the webversion.

Do you own the retail package or webversion? I'm confused just reading the Nero website. I guess if you own the retailpackage the plugin should be included. If you did a upgrade it sounds like you need to pay for the dvd plugin.

Thank you for your reply, but with respect, I'm afraid it doesn't help at all. I already know that the plug-in file is already on the distribution CD (since I purchased the Nero 6 ULTRA retail edition). The problem is that I don't know what the filename is in order to install it. I have no intention of re-purchasing what I already own. All I need is help finding the filename on the CD.

Does anyone know the filename of the Nero DVD-Video plug-in?

Did you reinstall?

Try a search through the Nero folder (on your computer) for a .dll with "DVD" in the name
