I have a Dvd that is only recognized with Nero Showtime. I want to convert to a Mpg/Avi/Wmv file(s) but can't found a
    way

None of this products recognize the Dvd: Windows Media Center, Windows Media Player, Classic Media Player,
KMPlayer, AVS DvdPlayer, Dvd X Player, Blaze Media Pro, ConvertXtoDvd, DivX, Vlc, Dvd Decrypter, PowerDvd

Yes, maybe the Dvd is not proper burn or was not closed but no matter, can't get another Dvd, must be this..
Nero Showtime opens it, so.. must be a way

    Any idea folks

If the problem is encryption then installing anyDVD from slysoft.com will enable you to read the disk.

By any chance is this a disc from another country?

I would start with a more basic approach. Drop one of the VOBs from the DVD into Gspot and see what format it really is. I suspect it's not in a proper DVD compliant MPEG format. You can post a Gspot screenshot here. Blank out the title if you like. One guide for posting screenshots: https://forum.videohelp.com/topic271697.html

    And welcome to our forums.

Can't read the Dvd with anything (just Nero Showtime).. so, can't get the VOB's

The Nero Showtime say is MPEG-2
