  1. I keep seeing topics about printable DVDs.

What the heck do you mean by this? All I can see in my mind's eye is a DVD being run through an inkjet printer. That can't be right, so what is it you're talking about?

There's something about 'hub printable' as well, and I don't know if this is different or not.

I apologize if this seems a lame question, but it's been bugging me for a while now...

    Thanks for any help!

  2. You are correct . The disk has a label on it that can be printed on by some printer.

The DVD has a special coating which will then be put on certain printers that will allow that disc to be written right on the disc itself. No need for paper labels and such.
To the HUB, is just a dvd disc that will allow u to print on the disc to the little ole hole in the middle.

There have been plenty of threads with pics about this.

  5. This is the type of printer most here are using.
The disks fit on a plastic carrier which fits into the printer and feeds in either the front or back...Not where the paper goes as you have guessed....
I use a Epson 900 there is also the 950, R200 and a few others Cannon do one not sure on its number.
You can also get custom built ones which are very expensive and are no better apart from they can handle more than 1 disk at a time....

I like the combo burner/printer that does it all without handling them. Just put in a stack of 50 blanks, start it, and walk away .... If they weren't so expensive I'd have one by now.
