    I just was wondering if it's possible to join all the vob files of a DVD into a MPEG-2, the audio doesn't care, I just want the video file without the hours and hours of conversion.

    If you have the DVD you can rip it to a single M2V with dvddecrypter
    Vobedit will extract a VOB set into a single m2V

    to get a MPEG2 system stream , you will have to mux it with the audio
