No sound on VOBS

I've ripped many DVDs by now, but never encountered this problem before:

I rip my DVD (FRIDA), but when I play the VOBS some of the sound is missing. Its the dialogue thats missing, the effects, music and all that is there, but no dialogue!)

I've used DVD-DECRYPTER, SMARTRIPPER, ROBOTRIB, both streamed and not (always selecting ALL possible audio of course!), but the result is always the same

...NO DIALOGUE!!

Any thoughts on this problem?

Have you tried any other rippers?

If you just play the vobs you usually can't select audio tracks(it will play the first one and it may be audio commentary). Try play with a real dvd player like powerdvd or windvd and select to play a dvd from you hd.

...well, the thing is: I use GORDIAN KNOT to rip my stuff, and ripping through that, it creates demuxed audio tracks from the DVD - usually AC3 files. Even when I play these audio-files, the dialogue is missing.

I Tried playing my VOBS thru a soft-DVDplayer - no difference, no dialogue.

I suppose it is in the ripping stage, that something goes wrong. I just cant figure out WHAT!?

Shouldnt the rippers i've used be able to handle pretty much everything?

...SORRY, POWERDVD DOES play the audio of the VOBS correctly. Then my question is simply, why cant I (dvddecrypter) demux a proper audio track from these VOBS?

Try loading the VOBs into Virtual Dub mod, and see if you can save the wave file.
