  1. Ok so here's my problem. I'm trying to record tv shows to burn them to a dvd.. so I select the recording quality labled "DVD", it has the audio at 48khz already or whatever, and the video is mpeg. The audio plays fine when I'm watching the programs, but after it saves them and is done recording, I hear no audio.. I've went back and checked my sound card mixer properties and nothing is muted.. I really have NO idea why it won't play any audio?

    Any suggestions?

Its an ati tv wonder ve, sound blaster audigy 2 platinum, ati mmc 8.9.. I don't know what other information you may need?

    Thanks in advance..

  2. Did you select in the sound properties where to record from? I use line in. I also had this problem once before but, when i restatred the sound was there.might try that to..

  3. Yep. Check your mixer 'Recording' control and make sure the appropriate feed is selected: Line-In if you Mini-Pin'd to the back of the sound card or AUX/TEL if you used the internal connector.

Don't expect it to default to the correct one each time. I don't know how many audio tracks I missed because I forgot to reset the mixer to TEL-IN on my card.

  4. Well I just opened up my case and hooked up a cable from the sound card to the tv card itself, and then used that and it seems to be working now.. BUT.. When I record, the audio seems to be doubled, it's like 2 of the same streams repeated at a short delay, but it isn't on the recording, just when i'm watching it. I went back and unchecked the "mute audio while scheduled recording" tickbox and went back, did it again, same thing. I know it's not that big of a deal to just turn my speakers off during recording, but I might want to watch while recording ya know? Oh well, thanks for the help guys, appreciate it.

  5. 'Ghosting' of the audio can also mean you have feedback from another source. Try ticking the 'Mute' boxes for all the recording selectors but the one you connected the ATI card to.
