Hi!
When capturing from VCR using VirtualDub, I don't get any audio, the volume meter shows no sound either. The TV card ist connected to the Line-In of the soundcard, the Windows mixer is on Line-In.
Now I recognized that the device "audiocontroller for multimedia" (roughly translated from German, don't know the exact name in English) has no driver installed.
Okay, right from the start, with no drivers whatsoever installed...
Installing Hauppauge VFW drivers for W2K, "videocontroller for multimedia" and "multimediacontroller" do get their drivers, "audiocontroller" doesn't.
Trying to install the driver manually gives me the following choices from the list of known drivers:
"Hauppauge - 878/9 VFW Audio Driver - Bad/Missing SubvendorID"
and
"Hauppauge Win/TV 878/9 VFW Audio Driver"
Tried both, none's giving me any sound.
I tried BtWinCap - to no avail. Still no driver, no sound.
Soooo, what am I doing wrong??
System:
Asus P4PE, P4 2,4 GHz, Soundblaster Live! Value, Hauppauge
WinTV PCI, Windows 2000 SP4
Any help is appreciated,
Tom
