Hi,
I am using iuVCR 4.4.0.260 to capture video using a LeadTek WinFast TV 2000 XP on a AMD Duron 1.2GHz running Windows 98 SE. I do not get dropped frames (only sometimes on the first capture, then I stop and start the capture again and I am fine).
What happens is that sometimes when I start capturing all the time related numbers go nuts. E.g. the fps rate goes from 29.97 to around 6, and the amount of available time/space on the HD will change, too.
When that happens, I also have trouble doing double-clicks, so it affects the whole system.
Next time (or next after that) all goes back to normal, but I found that the resulting files are not 100% compatible, e.g. TMPGEnc will not even scan for interlacing field order, although it is the same source.
I know that Windows 98 is not the perfect OS to do capturing, and if you think that this would not happen using XP, then I might setup a multi-boot just for capturing.
Please let me know if you have any ideas what could cause this weird bug.
Thanks in advance!
