Anybody can help me I've been using DVD2SVCD with great results but I've a problem I always convert the movies into PAL 4:3, because PAL 16:9 doesn't work too good on my 16:9 philips TV, it only removes some part of the black bars the rest stays, but when I watch movies at 4:3 the subtitles don't seem has subtitles but more like titlesthey are almost at the middle of the screen I've noticed that there is a Std. Y-POS PAL but wich way to go ? I've tryed changing to 0 but the subtitles disapeard. I really really apreciate any help
already ruined about 4 cd's and about 40 hours of encoding

The Ypos refers to where on the screen you want to place the subtitles. So given the standard SVCD resolution of 480x576 enter a Y value that you want. For NTSC (480x480) I find that Ypos=400 works pretty well. Not sure about PAL, but I know that a recommendation is giving in the DVD2SVCD faq and/or online guide:

Well
Thanks really apreciate for your help
But .... There is always a but
its a little hard to understand how could there be -1 then ? And if -1 is almost at the middle of the screen, 400 it would be a huge diference. Even toght I'm gonna try it at 400 if that's what they recommend
By the way i'm gonna use 4:3 too and the resolution I think its 480x576 since I didn't change the deffault of dvd2svcd, so its gonna be the same has you predicted
Once again thanks, really apreciate your help
if anybody can add something explain this poor newbie this
I would really apreciate. I'm gonna read the faq again too
Thanks

-1 = Original Subtitle position from the DVD, Unfortunatly it doesn't always work

BTW, it is also stated so in the subtitle preview.
