  1. Ok I followed exactly what vcdhelper said to do here http://www.vcdhelp.com/cdrwin.htm and burned my bin and cue files on a cd. But when I stick it in my vcd player, nothing plays. I did exactly what that link said to do so please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

  2. Did you use a cracked copy? CDRWIN is known to burn coasters if you crack it. If so try re-installing it and burn at 1x (demo copy speed).

Put the VCD in your PC and look at the file structure. What do you see? Can you play the file in Media Player? <please post and let us known>

You might want to try another program (eg. CDRDAO 100% freeware w/ it's GUI).

  3. Hmm with bin and cues whoever made it could have made a mistake. Your best bet may be to download the application Isobuster, and select open image file and select the bin file. Iso buster basically looks into any .iso file, .bin file, etc... and allows you to extract certain parts. If for some reason the structure is wrong, you can take out the movie and burn it properly.

  4. I'm going to try isobuster. If that doesn't work I was thinking about converting the bin to a mpg file and then burn it to cd. Would the quality be and different if I went the mpeg route?

No the quality will be the same if you went to Mpeg, but I've heard you lose your menus if you do that. Also when you burnt it, do you get an error message in CDRWIN? And does it play properley on your computer?

  6. Nope I don't get an error message in CDRWin. When I look at my cd on my computer it says I don't have anything burnt but I know there is something on there because when I stick it into my VCD player, the track time will start moving like there is something there. I'm thinking Vejita-sama is right because I did use a cracked CDRwin and maybe it does mess with your files if you use crack.

  7. My guess is that you're using a non-legit serial number with CDRwin, if you do it'll burn coasters.

Try burning it with either BlindWrite or VCDEasy.

  8. I Would recommand you use VCDEasy or TSCV as they both use the free CDRDao which is capable of handling Cue/Bin files and even overburn a CD properly.

  9. Ok I downloaded VCDEasy with VCDImager and CDRDAO. Where do I put my bin file to burn? I don't see any instructions on this page http://www.vcdhelp.com/vcdeasy.htm that tells me how use the program. Any help would be appreciated.

  10. Do you also have the Cue file ? or just a Bin file ? if you have a Cue File as well, you can go to the Tools in VCDEasy, then select the CDRDAO TOOLS, then select:
Burn a CUE or TOC Cd Image and input your Cue File and just press the Burn button.

If you only have a BIN file and you aren't the one who made it, I suggest you use IsoBuster or VCDGear to extract the MPG and recreate a new image for burning.

  11. Do I have to have 'simulate' checked or unchecked? I did what you said with the cue file in VCDEasy and after I burned it, nothing shows on the disk. In my cpu or my vcd player. This is getting frustrating. I'm stubborn though, and want to figure it out even though I've made like 4 coasters. Sefy, I'm going to send a screenshot of what it looks like right before I hit burn.

  12. Simulate doesn't actually burn a disc, it just makes the drive act like it to see if you'll get buffer underruns and the like, untick it and make sure burn is ticked, then you'll get a disc.

  13. Also, make sure you've set up the settings properly, and if you go to the log window and click verbose it will tell you exactly what's going on all the way thru the process.

  14. Ok, according to the screenshot and the cue file you send me, you have to edit your Cue file and do this change in order for the program to be able to burn it:

    FILE "HBOHP1.bin" BINARY
    change to:
    FILE "C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\HBOHP1.bin" BINARY

This should fix the problem for you.

  15. Ahh! It still doesn't work! I unchecked simulate like you guys suggested and changed the path on the cue file like Sefy said but then I got this error!

    Cdrdao version 1.1.5
    1,1,0: SAMSUNG CD-R/RW SW-408B Rev: BS02
    Using driver: Generic SCSI-3/MMC - Version 1.2 (options 0x0010)
    Starting write at speed 8...
    Executing power calibration...
    Power calibration successful.
    Writing track 01 (mode MODE2_RAW/MODE2_RAW)...
    Writing track 02 (mode MODE2_RAW/MODE2_RAW)...
cmd finished after 5.220s timeout 180s
    ERROR: Write data failed.
ERROR: Writing failed - buffer under run?
    ERROR: Writing failed.

I don't touch the computer when it's burning so I don't think it's the buffer. What the heck is going on? BTW, anyone in need of some coasters?

  16. Well, I tried fireburner and it worked. Thanks for everyone's help.

  17. First i'm glad to hear you finaly managed to burn it, sounds like you may have some weird compatibility issue using CDRDao, rather strange, but you can always use diffrent tools, like:
    CDRWin
    BlindWrite
    FireBurner
