  1. Hi everyone,

I am using LeeBears AVI2SVCD guide. After I extract the audio(pcm) from the video using vdub. I start dvd2svcd, and follow all of leebears settings, but when I load the avi file the audio shows mpa instead of pcm. The process starts and after audio extraction it tells me madplay is starting to convert the audio to wav, but nothing happens. Ive converted movies before, and the audio always showed up as pcm, and there never was a problem. DVD2SVCD converted everything peerfectly. Any ideas? Thanks

  2. I saw that happen once in Madplay but the encodeing carried on to the end. Instead of endlessly trying to fix a unique problem, it's usually better to just do it the easier and best way......encode the video without the audio then encode the audio and mux the 2 later. I have used every guide on this site as well as across the WWW and this is the best way I have found.

All you need to do is get FitCD and load up the avi, make the appropriate settings and then click the save aviscript button. Then open CCE and go up to the template button and click. Change the settings to reflect what you are doing. Video only, VBR one-pass, min bitrate 1700, max 2420<<these can be altered any way you need. Then click replace. Right -click in the window and click ADD and choose the AVS you saved earlier. Then click go and it should make you a video file faster than any other program. Usually 3 hours for a whole movie(for me). Then you can use TmpgEnc to extract the audio as MP2 file - 44000hz . Then mux the audio and video file together.

If this is too hard, then just use TmpGenc...it's simpler but takes longer to encode but does it all in one shot and (Usually) works correctly.
