If you already have MC 1.4 encoder isntalled and you install Adobe Premiere, which MPG encoder with Adobe use? The plugin or the full encoder 1.4?

Seems like nobody knows or just did not respond. Maybe you should try the Adobe help center. I am sure they know.

Better late than never I guess. Since Premiere Pro uses the MC MPEG2 encoder anyway, probably doesn't make a lot of difference. The key difference is Adobe hides most of the settings so you can't alter field order (I think) or do other tweaks. So if you want to use all the bells and whistles, framserver to the MC encoder which works pretty wellOriginally Posted by LSchafroth
