  1. Hi guys,

Got a VCD with crappy sound quality.

I would like to "extract" the sound to hopefully an MP3 file where i can clean it up in CoolEdit etc.

I would then like to create the VCD again using the cleaned up audio file.

What's the best (fastest) way of doing this?

I can convert the .dat files to MPEG and then join them using IsoBuster and TMPGenc.
Would i have to convert files to AVI or something?

    Thanks in advance

    Search Comp PM
Extract the mpeg with VCDGear or VCDEasy.
Demultiplex the audio to a mp2 file with TMPGEnc.
Load the mp2 in CoolEdit or other audio editor
    Do your cleanup or whatever.
Save as mp2 (if the editor allows) or save as wav and reencode to mp2 with tooLame. Stick to VCD standard here.
Multiplex new mp2 with old m1v to mpg, author with VCDEasy.
