  1. Hi,

I am trying to make a nice menu with nerovision express for a DVD, but because there are many small videos on my DVD, the menu will extend on a few menu-pages. The problem is that when I change the "principal menu" page (backround, page title), Nerovision changes it for all the other pages... and I would like to make a different menu (with different backround image and title) for each page, to classify/arrange better my video. Is there a way to do this with nerovision ? (please, do not suggest to use other software because Nerovision is very convenient since it allow to write unicode (and non latin languages) titles). Thank you !!

I just played with NVE2 and it seems that there is a way to get different colored menus, but it is not very intuitive and you will probably have to rearrange the way you set up your video in NVE2.

Basically, you need more than one "title" and each title needs more than one "chapter".

Anyway, here is how you can do it...

Let's assume that I have the following clips:

Clip 1: This is a 10-minute video that has three scenes which you want to have a black background.
Clips 2, 3, and 4: Other 10-minute videos with only 1 scene each. You want these scenes to have a white background.

First you will need to go to the Content page. It is the page that says "Content" in the upper left-hand side of the page. On the right-side of the page, you should see options to "Capture Video...", "Add Video Files...", etc.

On this page you will need to add "groups" (for lack of a better term) of scenes that you want to have different background colors. In my example, I would add clip 1 and clip 2.

You would then and add two chapter marks at the beginning of each scene to make three chapters (by choosing "Create Chapters..." on the Content page).

You would then edit clip 2 (by choosing "Edit Movie..." on the Content page) and add clips 3 and 4. Then add two chapter marks for clips 3 and 4.

Now when you go to the Create Menu page (which comes right after the Content Page), you should see a pulldown that has three choices. The first choice is Main Menu, but then underneath that you should see an indented choice for each of the two titles. If you make a change while the Main Menu is selected on the pulldown, it will affect all of the titles below it. But if you choose one of the two titles that you created and make changes, they are only for that choice.

I hope that I explained it senough so that you will understand...
