  1. I produce underwater videos on my DV camera, edit them in imovie and now want to put them on VCDs. I can't seem to produce anything near VHS quality when I play them on my television. The image is fine as a standard size on my desktop, but when I expand to full screen it becomes blocky. How can I get full screen, quality resolution that will look VHS quality on my television on a VCD?

    Regards

  2. I notice that when I watch a VCD full screen on my computer, it'll look squarey. But when I watch it on my DVD player on a television, the picture is fine. Have you tried making a VCD and actually watching on your TV? Try that first and see what kind of quality you get.

Also, I have a question... you have an underwater video camera? I wasn't aware such a thing existed except to professionals... is your camera a home version? How much was it? Does it work well underwater, ie do you have any problems with it? Is there a limited amount of time you can keep it underwater? What media does it record onto?

  3. Cheers for your reply. I have only watched the VCDs on my TV playing on my ibook through an AV cable. I will try it on a DVD player in a store.
To answer you qestions, I use a sony DV camera with an underwater housing. You can buy them for most DV cameras, especially Sonys. Also there are websites on how to build your own, but I didn't want to risk my camera. I bought mine from a company in SF called CameraTech and found them to be helpful
