I'm Having a bit of a problem here. I captured some tv shows using mjpeg compression @ 352 x480. Did my encoding with tmpgenc using avisynth and convolution 3d. Now I have a pretty big problem. When I try to encode the audio from the capture in tmpgenc when encoding to mpeg 2 I get a squelching sound when it converts the audio to 48000 hz. If I leave it at 41000 hz, everything is fine. Also I took the ok sound file the mp2 with 44100 hz and tried to convert to Ac3 using Baldrick's besweet guide but the resulting ac3 audio had a crackling noise when the people talk. Any Idea on how come my captured wav files won't convert to 48000 hz? Seems like after checking it out alot this was the problem. Tmpgenc gave me a problem and so does besweet any ideas please?

Put the .wav into a good audio editor like CoolEdit Pro and upsample to 48000 mhz. You should be able to convert it to ac3 with Besweet.

Next time try to capture to 48000 mhz.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
