  1. Okay, I'm doing a compilation of multiple music videos from multiple source.

Problem: loudness level of each clip is different from one to another.

Question: How can I normalize the sound so the peak is at 0 dB? Even better if I can also set the RMS (average) at -30 dB

  3. But this program is just to normalize the audio right? I want to keep the video too and normalize the sound so when I'm watching the compilation I don't have to keep changing the volume up and down. Can this program do that?

  4. You'll need to demux the audio, normalize then re-mux. Can't think of any progs that will normalize the audio while still part of the whole stream.

  5. Not sure what software you are using, but in Sonic Foundry's Vegas 4.0, you can send the audio file into SoundForge for normalizing. Vegas also allows you to adjust the levels.

You need to calculate the peak level first, then normalize to 0dB.

  6. I use DVD Shrink 2.3 to extract the chapters I want and use DVD2one 1.3.0 to join them.

I have SoundForge and I have several other pro-audio software but I don't have Vegas
