    DVD seem to block...

    Hi guys!
I have converted an AVI to dvdr, authoring and burned with CLONEDVD.
It goes well on my stand-alone player, but sometimes it freezes.. and go on.
    What can do this?
My DVD-R is a Sony and the player is not very good...
it's a problem of conversion or authoring?
    THX

Try playing it on your computer. If it plays fine then your dvd player cannot read your media. Check the dvd player compatibility chart and the dvd media list to your left to see what types of media work best for your player. Sony's tend to be pretty picky about media.

Can it be different using a dvd-r and dvd+r?

Yes, any given DVD player may play dvd-r better or worse than dvd+r. You just have to test it out to see what the capabilities of your dvd player are. If it plays just as badly on your pc though, then you know that it is not necessarily the media that is the problem. In this instance either the burn is bad or your data was corrupted somehow, probably during encoding or authoring.
