  1. Dear Friends and helpers ....

I just get my new 106D and install it using the Nero 6.0 , in WinXP comp.

When I tried to burn a DVD , in file mode , the speed is not higher then
X2 and not X4 as in its data.

Any suggests what to do to get the X4 .

    I am using DVD-R media .

  2. When you say 10x do you mean you have 10x dvdr disc's?

The drive will only burn at the speed the disc you are using is rated for, so......if you have a 1x disc in a 4x burner it will only burn at 1x . You need to get the 4x dvdr disc's so you can burn at max speed.

BTW 10x dvdr discs don't exist, 4x is the max

  3. Hi sLiMpAuLy,

10x is short for Thanks and not referring to the DVD media ...

Huntman69, a couple of things you can try:

    1. check to see if the media is 4x
    2. try upgrading the firmware
    3. try with Nero 5.5.10.50 (which I'm using) instead of Nero 6.0

I'm currently also using the A06 flashed with firmware 1.07; no issues so far.

    Cheers.

  4. try uninstalling nero and reinstalling it.
also make sure that the drive isnt in PIO mode.
it should be DMA,or ultra DMA as it tells me on my GA-7VTX ultra mobo.

  5. Also make sure your ASPI drivers are all working properly. You can do this by downloading infotool.exe at

    http://www.ahead.de/en/631940826989307.html

goto the ASPI tab and it will detect if all is well on your system. Sometimes when you uninstall a burning prog such as nero or easy cd it will uninstall your driver to. If this is the case just download the proper ASPI file(s) and install as per the readme text file. Hope this helps

BTW I feel like such a tool for not knowing 10x meant thanks

    Thank you again (10X.....
