    Go for the 106 ... able to burn both plus and minus R/RW.

    105 only burns minus R/RW.

    go for the 106 i bought it 2 weeks ago great rewriter only takes 14mins to
    burn full dvd r 4.36gb useing ritek 4xspeed media go for it.....

    the 106 is the the best of the two.
    its multi format,-and +.
    the latest firmware im using is the NIL's 1.07-region free,2 speed max rip(pressed dvds),and 2speed recording on 1 speed media.
    works like a charm.
