The most common on I see is cdcovers.cc. Personally I dont like it much. I use dvdcoverart.com for mine if a normal scan will not suffice. Usually I just use my HP All in One printer and scan at 300dpi. Afterwards crop the cover out I apply a blur to lose any artifacts followed by a sharpen to put the sharpmess back, all that in Paintshop Pro. The results are awsome.

Flaystus - I'll ignore the 3 above :co
and offer:Have you ever tried skipping those two steps and instead use Photo Enhance -> remove (jpg) artifacts?I apply a blur to lose any artifacts followed by a sharpen to put the sharpmess back, all that in Paintshop Pro.
The right strength might give you better - or at least - one step results. :c)
Just between us PSP lovers :c) it's what I use. There's no place like 127.0.0.1

I blur, too. Looks better than PSPs JPEG art Removal.Originally Posted by Gees

To each his own. I prefer the control it gives me. Not possible w/ blur/sharpen.

Actually I did JPEG Art Rem on my current avatar. But I also had to blur the bg b/c it didn't do it enough/ in the correct manner.

Yeah. That's an excellent technique for the background. :c) Your avatar - even though it has to be small - looks really good that way - almost 3D.
Good tip for those situations. :c)There's no place like 127.0.0.1
