    I was writing some data to a -rw disc when my system crash, a few k. On restart the disc will not respond, nor will it erase of format. Does this mean the disc is dead.

    Tried DVDInfoPRO to format?

    PS: What does it have to do with LOTR?
    BTW both parts suck, the book is much better than the movie.
