    I never watch the preview screen when it's converting from one file type to another, is there a way to disable it? Will it go faster without constantly trying to show me the files that are passing by?

    Options > preview opetions >> check "do not display".

    Just a guess. I feel that it seems faster since the cpu is not creating the preview.
