Hello. What I want to do is rip parts of several dvd's and burn them onto 1 dvd with chapters. I am brand new to this so I have been reading all the guides on the site. I think I know what I should download/buy to do this, but I wanted to run it by some experts to make sure I was on track. I was going to use dvd decrypter to rip the dvd's and tmpgenc to turn them into mpeg2 then edit and create chapters with tmpgenc dvd author and burn them. does this sound right or am I missing something. This site is fantastic and thanks in advance. --Ritchie

use DVDShrink to rip the bits you want from the DVD
then use DVDLAB (or similar) to create the DVD's from the ripped VOB's
you can insert chapters and create a menu also
there will be other methods but this is one of the simpler methods I used for merging my flipper Friends DVD's to get 8 epsiodes onto one DVD with menu's and chapters
p.s. I forgot to mention that DVDLAB only does one audio track and no subs last time I looked, but the beta is dated Aug 13th so I'm not sure on current features
