  1. Hello all you BlueRay gurus.

I purchased a Sony S350 a couple weeks ago, an LG BlueRay burner, and well as a download of AnyDVD HD and CloneDVD2. My ultimate goal is of course to backup my BlueRay disc so that they play on my standalone player. The S350 claims to play back BD-R/RW in BDMV and BDAV formats. What I am looking for is burning software which will likely have the most success with this particular unit. If you aren’t quite sure about the BlueRay player itself, which burning software tends to be the most successful? I’ve heard Nero9 is pretty good for BlueRay, but I’ve not been much of a fan of Nero in the past.

Also, can you see any holes in what I have?

Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks a ton!

    Best,
    Gary

I would try ImgBurn before Nero. Should work fine. I don't think CloneDVD will be of much help with BD discs. Ripbot and TsMuxeR may be useful.

Agree ImgBurn is excellent - set at UDF 2.5, use NERO HD plugin. I found using TSMUXER to shrink caused quality problems but maybe I wasn't adding the correct files - I now burn the whole disc.

I'm not aware that tsMuxeR has any ability to do more than mux/demux and author to the BD format. You would have to re-encode to change the size of the file. RipBot264 can do that or BD Rebuilder can 'shrink' the file.
