  1. ever since i upgraded to WIN XP, my iomega USB 650 4x4x6 is not being recognized as a cd writer in fireburner, cdrwin, and cdrdao. the weird thing is that i can still use it with clonecd and nero. I need help cuz i have bin/cue files created with TSCV and VCDImager and need cdrwin or fireburner to work.

Could this be a bug in WIN XP in dealing with USB devices?

download the win2k/xp aspi layer and install it. That will fix your problem

  4. thanks... but that wasn't the problem.

newest aspi layer but still no luck in finding the drive with CDRwin or Fireburner or even CDRDao.

but i can see it with CloneCD and Nero. there's gotta be something different as to how Nero detects the CDRW than CDRWin or Fireburner. When choosing recorder in Nero, I've noticed that the SCSI-ID of the USB CDRW is 0, but my DVD SCSI-ID is 0 also, could this be a problem?
