  2. So far I'm very happy with my NEC 1300a.

I'm extremely new to DVD burning, but have learned a lot here.

I got the 1300 because I didn't want to have to ask questions similar to yours Now I can have any format (+/-)I need in an instant.

    Good luck in your search!

  3. Hello,

I own a Pioneer A04 DVD-R/RW, and I never had problems with it, all dvd-r / rw burned always play well on my Sony standalone player and others available in here in Brazil, except LG and old Philco players. One friend mine bought a Sony DRU 500A dual burner (DVD-R/RW and DVR+R/RW) and have the same experience. My opinion is trust on high-end marks (like Sony, Pioneer, HP, Philips, Toshiba...) and run away from the LG red shamed face, my experience with their equipament (VCR, DVD player and a CD burner) was very bad!!!! NEC sounds good, and LITE-ON I donīt know. And finally, choose one DUAL format burner.

    Good luck.
