    hello,

since yesterday the recording time of my drive has gone mad!

until yesterday all my recordings went 2 speed with an average time of 30 minutes. Now all my recordings go 1 or 1.5 speed and take an average of 45 minutes!!

How is this possible?? I use the same media as before the problem, even with the original 2x pioneer dvd-r(w) this recording time occurs.

I'm using the dvr-105 drive with the rpc-1 hacked v1.33 firmware. I used the v1.30 hacked firmware with the same bad result. I used this v1.30 firmware for 2 months now without problems...

I use recordnow Max v4.5. I reinstalled this software without any result.

Someone maybe recognizes this problem or someone has suggestions what could be wrong??

    thanx in advance! Porto

no, I guess the problem does not lie in the hacked firmware 'cause I've used the v1.30 hacked firmware for over 2 months without any problems!! Since yesterday, in recordnow max, when I've depressed the record button, after some 10 seconds and writing at 1% the time goes from, for example, 30.48m to 46.28m... just like that!

I could be buffer underruns but before while I was burning I could play Max Payne and still the dvd was ready in 30 minutes, so it makes no difference.... Maybe is my drive fragmentated?? I will defragment it.

When I'm burning in Nero, the 'Recorder Buffer Level / State' percentage goes from 90% to 50 to 20 than up to 60 and to 90 and dropping again. I guess mostly this has to be steady at 80 to 90% ??

well, the problem obviously has disappeared as fast as it occured.

I defragmented the hdd but that didn't solve the prob.
but than I did the following:

I usually rip a dvd to a temp folder with smartripper.
than I use dvdshrink to make a compilation and these files are automatically stored in a pre-made VIDEO_TS folder on the same hdd.

I recorded some percentages of the compilation on a dvd-rw and the problem occured.

well, than time I moved these files to another temp folder and directly moved them back to the VIDEO_TS folder and tried again..

    problem solved!!

3 movies ago and it never came back again.... strange huh?
