Hi, i got a Sony MiniDV Cam TRV27. First i connect my cam to an firewire and start my recording. I use Ulead Video Studio 7 to record the tv show but the file size went up really quick. Around 10 sec and my video go up to 500mb. Last time i recorded a show which is around 2 hour, cost me up to 20 something GB....How do i make the file smaller while recording? Thanks

Record with a codec that compresses. You could go directly to MPEG2, or use something like Huffy or MJPEG.
Of course, I'm assuming that you're puling this straight from the camera inbto uncompressed AVI, yes? -
I am recording straight from TV, uncompressed AVI....but if i record to like mpeg2 or mpeg, the recording have to stop, compress and then continue, if it do that, then i will miss some tv part also after the cam finish compress, it'll continue record straight from the tape in my DV cam, not the tv show....
