  1. Trying to rip a DVD using DVD Decrypter, but it stops at 99% complete.
Ive tried the latest version and also an older version... same problem.

Using a SONY DW-U10A Re-Writer drive and Ive also tried it on some Creative DVD Read Drive, under Windows 2000.

    Any ideas anyone?

Just a suggestion when asking a question like this maybe you should included the DVD that you are trying to RIP also include if it is file or iso mode and possibly someone else has had this same problem with the exact DVD and have already found a work around

    Just my 2cents.........

i've actually had the same problem with a few movies using a generic dvd-rom drive to rip. i don't know if this was the solution but it seemed to work for me. i had the dvd-rom hooked up to an ata controller card and that's when i was experiencing the problems. so i moved it to the secondary ide channel on the motherboard and i never got that problem again. i don't know if what i did was an actual solution or not but it seemed to work. hope that helps.

  6. hey...

just a tip...try not using your DVD burner for anything other than burning DVDs...

ripping will shorten the life of your DVD drive...and a generic DVD-ROM is much cheaper to replace than a DVD burner

btw, is your hdd FAT32 (i.e. if you have win98)

I would suggest using say smart ripper and see if that works.
    or
You can try in file mode and see if you can copy them that way

    Just my 2cents
