  1. Hi!
I recently burned a VCD with Ulead MF 2 that had menus & music and 15 different scenes (15 mpg files were used). The disc played perfectly on my standalone until I tried playing scenes 10 to 15. My standalone just went black and nothing happened, so I had to press "return" on the remote to get back to the menu. The scenes from 1 to 9 worked perfectly so I thought maybe it's the mpg files that were put on the VCD so I tried switching scene number 9 and 10 in MF 2. And ,surprise surprise, it worked! So it's not the mpg files, that's for sure. So either it's the program that screws up the scenes after 9 or it's my standalone player (which is a Philips DVD 722). The disc worked on my computer when I tried running it with PowerDVD. Any advice on fixing this problem or should I try a other program? And what program in that case?
    Thanks!

  3. Thanks!
I tried joining the mpeg-1 files togheter and splitting them up with chapters and it seemed to work better. Instead of having 15 scenes, I joined 2 to 1 and separated them with chapters... but I'd still like to have a bit more scenes to choose from because the "next" button doesn't work with chapters. Oh well, I should be happy it even worked =)

BTW: Is there some other video authoring program that's as simple as Ulead DVD MF 2?

  4. Please fill out the official Ulead tech support form.

    It is located here:

My testing persuades me there may - indeed - be an issue with VideoCDs created in the manner you described.

    I'll keep testing.

In the meantime, it would be wise if you would bring this to the attention of tech support.

    Thanks.

  5. Ok, I'll do that and see what they have to say.
Gonna post the reply (if I get one) here.
