I try to use v 0.0.7c and always get this warning and the process stops

Encoding started on Tue Jul 15 23:19:26 CEST 2003
    ## Component Manager: attempting to find symbols in a component alias of type (regR/carP/x!bt)
++ WARN: [mpeg2enc] Generating dummy SVCD scan-data offsets to be filled in by "vcdimager"
++ WARN: [mpeg2enc] If you're not using vcdimager you may wish to turn this off using -d

How can I bring ffmpegX to work?...

    Thanks

  2. This warning is normal and the process is not stopping, check for the destination file, you should see that it grows in size, this means the encoding is in progress. In further versions I'll improve the progress interface so as it is more user-friendly.

Thanks for fast advise. A message like "encoding in progress, watch your filoe growing.." would beginners already help a great deal.

I played my partial results with VLCPlayer, mplayer and within ffmpegx but never hear sound. What settings did I make wrong? (I used SVCD (PAL) Quick preset to encode)

PS: why can I post as guest, but have to wait 1 day as a new registered member?

When encoding VCD, SVCD, CVD or DVD ffmpegX always first encodes the video and then the sound, when they're both done they will be muxed together.
