It's "frozen frames" in the divx. TMPEnc just can't handle them. Yes, it's correct what's been said before. Cut the frames out! (You can even compress that part again with the same codec and fit it in the movie again if you don't want a gap)
One tool I miss is one to scan an avi for corrupt frames. Anyone know of one?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

I too, get the 'illegal floating point decimal calculation order' error ... this is for the 'phantom edit' which i desperately want to VCD
also, can't open it in VirtualDub, get this error "can't determine file type"
also, this MPEG only plays with QuickTime 5 ... does anybody have any information? ... I'd hook them up with a copy if they can help me get this on VCD
