  1. i try to put my collection movie in avi or vcd format and put it onto dvd format. does any know how i can do that or does anyone know what software do i need to do that

    There are a couple of great guides on this site -- check 'em out

    Also, do a google search for AVS Video Converter.

    Using TMPGEnc and DVDLab is possibly the best way to do it --- I've had great luck putting all four seasons of Farscape on DVD with nice menues, etc.

    If you want to burn you avi (divx) files to DVDR you just burn them as data, although they will not play in the vast majority of DVD players.
